Product & E-commerce Copywriting

Product copy that scales with your catalog, not against it.

from $1,200

Rows of blank kraft product tags arranged on a table, in warm ink-and-paper duotone.

Who it's for

Who this is for

  • DTC and e-commerce operators with a growing SKU count
  • Stores whose product copy is still the manufacturer's, pasted in
  • Anyone who's re-quoted a copywriter every time the catalog grew

Who this isn't for

  • A single product launch page — see Landing & Sales Page Copywriting
  • Blog or content marketing for the store — see SEO Blog & Content Writing
  • A full brand voice reset — see Brand Messaging & Voice Strategy

What's included

The problem

New SKUs usually ship faster than good product copy can keep up, so stores end up with three kinds of product pages: the ones a founder wrote carefully at launch, the ones an intern wrote in a hurry, and the ones still running the manufacturer's spec sheet. A shopper can tell which is which.

The store doesn't need one great product description. It needs fifty consistent ones.

OUR OWN REWRITE

Before

This premium ceramic mug is made from high-quality materials and designed for everyday use.

After

Holds a full 16 oz. Doesn't sweat on your desk. Survives the dishwasher and your Monday.

The first line could sit under any mug on the internet. The second is specific enough to be true only of this one.

How this project runs

This is the one service priced by volume, not by page — kickoff starts with your product feed or spreadsheet, not a page list, and turnaround scales with SKU count rather than site complexity.

Frequently asked questions

What if we have more than 100 products?

Tell us your count and we'll quote additional SKUs at a fixed per-product rate on top of Authority — same consistent voice, no re-negotiating scope from scratch.

Do you need photos or just a spec sheet?

A spec sheet, existing manufacturer copy (if any), and access to the live store or a product feed is enough. Photos help but aren’t required.

Can you match our existing brand voice?

Yes, by default — send us 5–10 examples of copy you like and we calibrate to it. If the voice itself needs work, start with Brand Messaging & Voice Strategy.

How do you handle variants (size, color)?

One core description per product, with a short note on how variant details should pull into the template — we don't write a separate description per variant unless the product itself changes meaningfully.

What format do we get the copy in?

A shared spreadsheet, one row per product, columns matched to your CMS fields (title, short description, long description, meta description) so it pastes in cleanly.
